We are currently looking for Personal Support Workers.

In a home care setting you will assist clients with routine activities of daily living and personal care. You will be responsible to provide home care to clients in the areas of:

Quality of Life: Relieving caregivers, teaching clients how to live independently, advocating for client independence, encouraging clients to try things to increase independence, playing games, talking, reading.

Activities of Daily Living: Waking clients up, bathing and grooming, dressing, assisting with medication, toileting, shopping and meal preparation, eating, housekeeping and laundry, monitoring client status, ambulation and transporting client(s).

Qualifications Required:
-Completion of the Personal Support Worker program
-Valid First Aid and CPR certification

Candidates successful in obtaining employment will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening valid within six (6) months of start date, as well as proof of TB Mantoux skin test completed within twelve (12) months of start date.

Paving Stone Labourer

Established Paving Stone Company is hiring full time seasonal person.  Experience in raking, laying, cutting is a must.  Driver's licence required.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE (DOWLER KARN)

Position: Customer Account Representative

Location: Chatham / Windsor Territory (Based out of Chatham Branch)

Description:

Dowler-Karn Limited, a leading Southwestern Ontario propane and fuel distributor, has an immediate opening for a permanent, fulltime Customer Account Representative for its Chatham/ Windsor territory. Working closely with our Branch Managers, Marketing Manager, and other key industry and community partners, the successful candidate will be tackling sales leads, following up on referrals, and implementing strategic company programs for new business. In addition, The Representative will work closely with our service and customer service staff to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed the needs of our diverse range of customers. The position will be based out of our modern Chatham facility with responsibilities for this branch territory in addition to assisting our Windsor branch customers to the southwest.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will possess strong organizational and business related skills, and will be tasked with promoting a multi-product line in a growing but established market. Qualified candidates must be self-directed and possess excellent time management skills as well as strong communication and customer service abilities. Sales experience with some rural or agricultural exposure would be beneficial. The ability to communicate effectively with customers and peers is essential, as are strong negotiating skills.
Familiarity with propane, fuels and lubricants along with knowledge of the industry’s regulatory and safety requirements would be beneficial. Industry specific or technical expertise would be preferred but can be trained. A G-2 (Gas Technician) license would be considered an asset.
Some degree of computer proficiency is also necessary, as is a willingness to work in both office and, more often, external environments. By extension, a clean driving record is a necessity.
Good customer service and communication skills are required, as is a willingness to work flexible hours. Hours of work are based on the needs of the business in relation to the hours of branch operation, customer specific needs, and seasonal variations. As well, on an as needed basis, you may be required to attend evening or weekend industry, charity or community functions / events on behalf of the company.

LICENSED SERVICE TECHNICIAN - GAS FITTER (DOWLER KARN)

Position: Licensed Service Technician – Gas Fitter

Location: Chatham

Description: Dowler-Karn Limited, a leading Southwestern Ontario propane and fuel distributor, has an immediate opening for a permanent, fulltime Licensed Service Technician for its Chatham branch. Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for installing and servicing complex residential and commercial propane related equipment in addition to fuels applications. The Service Technician will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the service and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Qualifications: The minimum requirement is to be a current holder of a valid G2 license with 3-5 years of experience and a minimum of a grade 12 diploma. A liquid propane endorsement and petroleum maintenance mechanic certification would be preferred. A sound technical knowledge of propane equipment and plant operations, and a good knowledge of the B149 code would be an asset. A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract is also required. The successful candidate will be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis and be willing to work in all kinds of weather conditions. Good customer service and communication skills are also necessary, as is a willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and rotating on call duties as required.

SERVICE TRANSFORMATION ASSISTANT (JCP) CNIB

JCP Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be currently receiving Employment Insurance Benefits or have received regular EI benefits in the last 3 years or maternity or parental benefits within the last 5 years
Summary of Position:

This position will assist the Regional Manager to prepare for the launch of the Service Pathways Program. Updating client files, developing procedures, streamlining current processes will be priorities for the position.

Term:  Contract, 35 hours per week.  February 24, 2014 to July 25, 2014

Location:  London, ON

Essential Duties entail (but not limited to):
  • Learn all aspects of how the Service Pathways model will work
  • Update Client Records in the database
  • Assist Regional Manager in developing and streamlining processes
  • Assist staff in preparing for new service model
  • Inform and educate members of the medical community
  • Administrative tasks as needed
  • Assist with the implementation of Service Pathways
  • Communicate new process to clients as needed
  • Act as resource to staff and clients after implementation
  • Educating community partners about the new process
  • Administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in development and implementation of administrative systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Detail-oriented with excellent multi-project and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft software, including MS Outlook
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, with minimal supervision
  • College Diploma or equivalent experience.
