GENERAL MANAGER: OPERATIONS AND PROGRAMS

A not-for-profit organization is seeking an individual to work full time as part of a team with a wide variety of stakeholders to manage programs and oversee general operations of a public venue and to grow programs/products to reach established strategic goals.

Required skills include:

  • Polished interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Oral communication skills and ability to deliver public presentations
  • Managerial skills to effectively direct staff/volunteers/day-to-day operations
  • Solid understanding of financial procedures
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, esp. with event management.
Minimum of seven years supervisory, project management and operations experience.  University degree in marketing, fund development, program development, an asset.  Non-profit work experience with volunteers, a plus.
