• Ideally have experience working with youth in a leadership role. (Frosh/Orientation Leader, Residence Advisor, Coaching & Camp Counselor etc.)
• Attendance at our mandatory pre-trip training session.
• Completed or pursuing College or University Degree.
• Comfortable working long hours & evening shifts supervising the students on destination.
• Valid passport.
• Outgoing & positive.
• Fluent in French & Spanish is an asset.
Additional Information:
When selected to be a part of the Destination Staff team, the successful candidates will be required to do a training session & certification test.
Salary:
• This is a PT contract position.

$13.00- $20.00 per hour 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring barricades,
- Mix, pour and spread materials
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Read blueprints
Specific Skills or Requirements:
- Must have steel toed safety boots, hard hat, safety goggles/glasses and gloves
- Own transportation, willing to travel regularly and overnight, travel expenses paid by employer
- Must have a valid driver's licence
- 3-5 years of experience in construction
- Experienced using hand tools and electric tools
- WHMIS certificate
- Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
